Why Standard Sizes Are No Longer Enough – Understanding the Real Anatomy of Breasts

For decades, lingerie has been designed around a simple yet misleading rule: “If it doesn’t fit, it’s your body’s fault.”At Asymétrio, we believe the exact opposite: it’s the standard sizes that are to blame!
The Myth of the “Average Size”
At the origin of most bras sold in stores lies a single model:
A young woman, with symmetrical breasts and an average ribcage.
It’s from this baseline that the industry built a size chart supposedly made to fit everyone.
But in reality? No two breasts are truly alike. And most importantly: very few are perfectly symmetrical.
What Nobody Tells You About Breasts
80% of women have a size difference between their left and right breast.
Breast shape, position, skin firmness, and even nipple orientation vary enormously.
A “classic” bra compresses, pulls, or gaps… because it tries to standardize what is fundamentally unique.
The Problem with “Paired” Sizes
A bra labeled 34C (90C in French sizing), for example, tells you nothing about your breast shape. It’s based on a compromise: one band size + a supposedly symmetrical cup size.
The result?
If one breast is smaller, the cup gaps.
If the other is larger, it spills over.
And in every case, you feel guilty—like your body is somehow “wrong.”
But it’s not you. It’s the size chart.
What If We Stopped Trying to Fit You Into Boxes?
At Asymétrio, we’ve created 441 mix-and-match sizes, to fit each breast separately.
An A cup on the right and a C on the left? No problem—we’ve got it.
A small band size with a fuller bust? We’ve got that too.
Our mission is simple: adapt to your body, not the other way around.
What That Changes, In Real Life
✅ A naturally balanced silhouette, without padding or tricks.
✅ All-day comfort that moves with you.
✅ A new relationship with your body—softer, more accurate, more free. And above all: the end of normalized discomfort.
The Future of Lingerie Is Custom
Standardizing bodies is a thing of the past.Understanding their diversity is the future. And thanks to you, we’re proving it every single day.
❤️ Thank you for being part of this revolution ❤️
