Every year, March 28 marks World Endometriosis Day. A day dedicated to informing, raising awareness, and giving a voice to the millions of women living with this condition that is still too often misunderstood.

Endometriosis affects around 1 in 10 women worldwide. Chronic pain, intense fatigue, digestive issues, impact on fertility… its symptoms are numerous and can deeply affect daily life. But behind the numbers, there are above all personal stories.

Living with endometriosis

Every year, March 28 marks World Endometriosis Day. A day dedicated to informing, raising awareness, and giving a voice to the millions of women living with this condition that is still too often misunderstood.

Endometriosis affects around 1 in 10 women worldwide. Chronic pain, intense fatigue, digestive issues, impact on fertility… its symptoms are numerous and can deeply affect daily life. But behind the numbers, there are above all personal stories.

When the body changes, clothing must adapt

March 28, World Endometriosis Day, is also an opportunity to share how this personal experience influenced the creation of certain pieces at Asymétrio.

Faced with these body changes, I often found myself dealing with lingerie that was too rigid, too tight, or simply not suited to those moments when the body changes.

28 mars : la Journée mondiale de l’endométriose

That is how the idea of creating adjustable thongs and panties was born.

Designs created to adapt to body fluctuations, provide greater comfort, and avoid pressure on the stomach when endobelly appears.

The goal was not only aesthetic, but also functional: to offer lingerie that supports the body rather than restricting it.

Lingerie can also be about comfort and listening to the body

Endometriosis reminds us how unpredictable the body can be.

In those moments, every detail matters: the clothes we wear, the softness of the fabrics, and the absence of unnecessary pressure. Creating adjustable, adaptable, and comfortable pieces is part of the desire to design lingerie that respects the realities of the body.

Raising awareness about endometriosis

World Endometriosis Day is also an opportunity to highlight the importance of awareness.

Many women still wait years before receiving a diagnosis. Research is progressing, but there is still much to be done to improve care and recognition of the disease.

Talking about endometriosis, sharing experiences, and creating adapted solutions are all part of this movement.

Lingerie designed for real bodies

At Asymétrio, the mission has always been the same: to create lingerie that adapts to real bodies.

Asymmetries, body changes, realities such as endobelly… all of these experiences deserve to be taken into account when designing clothing.

Because lingerie should support the body, not impose constraints on it.
