Supporting women's femininity after illness
October Rose is a month of awareness-raising and commitment to highlighting initiatives that are changing the lives of women affected by this disease.
This year, I'm proud to present a unique and revolutionary project: the first made-to-measure lace post-operative bra, combining comfort, beauty and respect for each woman's unique shape after surgery. An innovative product that combines comfort, beauty and respect for every woman's unique shape after breast cancer surgery. This bra, has been specially designed to meet the specific needs of women who have undergone a mastectomy, lumpectomy or breast reconstruction. Made-to-measure, it adapts perfectly to each individual morphology, while remaining elegant, soft and comfortable. This project embodies a real reappropriation of the body and femininity after illness.
Today, many women faced with breast cancer find themselves with limited options for their post-operative lingerie. Current models, often standardized, do not take into account the specific needs of each morphology, nor the desire to feel beautiful in one's own skin again. By creating a made-to-measure bra in lace, I wanted to combine aesthetics and comfort in a product designed by and for women. This post-operative bra is designed to meet the specific needs of women who have undergone breast surgery or breast reconstruction. It adapts perfectly to each woman's morphology, thanks to Asymétrio's rare made-to-measure concept. Women can choose their bust size independently of their left and right cup size, all online from the comfort of their own home. If women are unsure of their size, they can use the size simulator available on the asymetrio.fr website.
This initiative goes far beyond mere lingerie: it's a powerful symbol of reclaiming one's body and one's beauty.
Post-operative bras on the market are often perceived as too medical, unattractive and, above all, not adapted to the individual needs of women who have undergone breast surgery, in the sense that they are not made-to-measure. They lack sensuality and don't take into account the aesthetic expectations of patients who want to feel beautiful and feminine again.
Our après bra is designed by women for women.
Here's how it differs from the other products available:
Comfort and aesthetics: Above all, it's designed to be comfortable and sexy. Thanks to a seamless post-operative fishnet lining, the skin is never irritated. The cotton fabric is soft and sheathing without compressing the bust, ensuring optimal support.
Elegant lace: The outside of the bra is made of lace, but this is not in direct contact with the skin, avoiding any unpleasant rubbing on scars.
Functionality: A pocket for a breast form is included (optional). Fastening is at the front for easy dressing, and the cups are high enough to support the breasts while allowing the wearer to wear low-cut garments. The wide armhole won't irritate underarm scars.
Bra: Unlike conventional bras, this one goes lower under the bust to avoid irritating post-operative scars.
This bra is not just a lingerie product, it's a real tool for physical and mental well-being for all those who have been or are going through illness.
Why does this project make sense?
The importance of supporting this project
Supporting this project during Pink October is much more than just a financial contribution. It's a strong gesture of solidarity towards women affected by breast cancer. This made-to-measure lace bra gives patients back what the disease has taken from them: their confidence, their femininity, and the possibility of feeling beautiful again, without compromising on their post-operative comfort.
By contributing to this project, you can :
Pre-order your made-to-measure bra: By placing your order via the KissKissBankBank crowdfunding platform. In addition to supporting a meaningful initiative, you'll be among the first to receive this revolutionary piece of lingerie. Production will start in January, and orders placed in September and October have priority and will be delivered in February for the month of love. This bra is a world first in post-operative lingerie.
For companies and associations, become a partner: This project is also a great opportunity to collaborate with mutual insurance companies, healthcare associations, patrons and committed companies. Participate by making a donation or a contribution. By choosing the contribution option, you can choose between 1 pink october pack of 10 post-operative bras or a capsule collection of made-to-measure bras. Not only will you be contributing to crowdfunding and this new project, but you'll also be able to offer these models to your customers or patients. This awareness-raising campaign, in partnership with Asymétrio, allows you to be part of an innovative and supportive approach, highlighting the importance of women's well-being after breast cancer.
Why this project is essential!
The values behind this project
The mission of this project is to give power back to women who, after going through the disease, want to reclaim their bodies and their femininity. Breast cancer is a physical ordeal, but also a psychological one. Being able to wear a bra that is not only comfortable, but also beautiful, plays an essential role in rebuilding one's self. That's why the d'après bra has been designed to be much more than just a garment. It's a symbol of rebirth, renewed confidence and strength.
As part of Pink October, every gesture counts. Supporting this project is more than just a financial contribution. It's a way of helping to raise awareness of the importance of post-operative care, while offering women a lingerie alternative that respects their femininity. The bespoke, lacy look of these bras makes this initiative a real jewel for every woman struggling to regain her body after illness.
How can you take part in pink october 2024?
Pink October is a period of massive mobilization around the cause of breast cancer, and it's in this context that this project takes on its full meaning. By taking part in this crowdfunding initiative, you are directly contributing to a project that could change the lives of many women. You're helping to finance the production, design and development of a unique product.
As explained above, you can participate in the form of donations or contributions. Your participation, big or small, makes a difference! By ordering your bra, you become an integral part of this solidarity movement. The rewards don't just concern bras: you'll find all 3 styles of bra, as well as stockings: panties and thongs. But also accessories, at 10€, scrunchies, washing nets, pouches, while stocks last.
Private or public organizations: become a partner: Do you represent a company, an association or a mutual insurance company? By joining our project, you can offer a concrete, personalized solution to women who have been through this ordeal.
Share with others: Talk about this project with your friends and family, your professional network or associations that might be interested. Every share, every conversation can help advance this great cause!
Project progress: What's the status of crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding on KissKissBankBank is well underway, thanks to widespread support from the community and partners such as associations and mutual health insurance companies. Thanks to them, Asymétrio has reached its first funding target, enabling the creation of patterns, the testing of prototypes, and the purchase of the first raw materials. Thank you for your trust and donations!
KissKissBankBank crowdfunding also gave crowdfunding a boost, highlighting the Asymétrio project for the September 2024 coup de coeur operation. Asymétrio was selected along with another brand, submitted to public votes on the social network Instagram. Asymétrio received the most votes! Thanks again to all of you, to this wonderful community of women we're creating 💪🏻 This competition will enable Asymétrio to win a beautiful grant donated by our partner: La Banque Postale.
Every contribution counts, and with your help we can go even further. If we reach more than 100% of our target, we'll be able to finance the raw materials needed for the first series production. Thanks to these partners, Asymétrio has reached the 1st objective of the kitty. This will enable us to create the pattern, carry out proto tests, validate the post-operative bra, order raw material samples, and also finance delivery costs between suppliers and workshops. If we manage to reach +100% of our target, this will enable us to purchase the raw materials for the 1st production run. Asymétrio has no stock and only produces to order. However, suppliers do ask for a minimum purchase of stock, and even if they make a gesture because Asymétrio is still a fairly small structure compared with international lingerie brands, it's still a coup!
Asymétrio isn't giving up, and continues to look for like-minded partners to create a capsule collaboration. In this way, Asymétrio will have the necessary funds to create this new product, and the organizations will have the opportunity to offer their customers and patients this made-to-measure lace post-operative bra. In order to bring this new project to fruition, for some private companies, the capsule collaboration is with the Asymétrio brand's made-to-measure bras, which are already online on the site. Indeed, each company wants to bring its strength to this project, but some don't have a specific medical range. Indirectly, this collaboration, even if it's not the purchase of a Pink October pack, contributes to the creation of this post-operative bra.
